  • Ageing is a complex and complicated biological process. We still don’t have all the answers and there is no pharmacological intervention. My goal is to increase your quality of life and your life span by incorporating information in your DNA map, your physiological and biochemical pathways using functional and traditional medicine biomarkers along with answers to a comprehensive health intake form. Utilizing all this data is best way to personalize and individualize health and wellness recommendations. In the era of genomic medicine, health recommendations based on the one-size-fits all model no longer satisfies the healthcare professional or the patient. We all are looking for a model that recognizes our physiological, biological, and cellular uniqueness and can be used to tailor recommendations and suggestions specific for your genes and biochemistry. With more than 20 years’ experience unzipping people’s DNA and using my comprehensive approach, I can say unequivocally that people have better insight into what will improve their lives and have actionable steps to achieve their health and longevity goals.

  • When I was growing up in Hawaii, my mother was very invested in healthy cooking and eating, traditions that I have carried forward in my personal life. When she developed breast cancer, I transitioned from academic research to clinical nutritional medicine to better understand the cellular processes that trigger chronic diseases like cancer. Today, I incorporate a holistic model when working with people around the world, focusing on a person’s genes, environmental triggers, nutritional and dietary influences, emotional and mental health issues, external and internal stressors, inflammatory processes, and spiritual aspects (belief systems) that can undermine optimal health and longevity. I firmly believe and have witnessed for myself that adhering to DNA-based recommendations can decelerate the ageing process, widening the difference between your chronological age and your biological age, which is the desired goal for anyone interested in a long and productive life.
